Majlis Art Garden - 163 Walnut Avenue

Getting There

Finding the site:
Majlis Arts Garden is located at 163 Walnut Ave. between King and Queen, just south of Trinity Bellwoods Park, north of Stanley Park. Look for the wooden gate between two factory buildings.

By car: There is an inexpensive city parking lot at Walnut and Richmond, and free parking on most sidestreets, especially after 6 pm (please allow time to find a space, and check signage carefully: the east side of Walnut between Richmond and Queen is No Parking.)

By TTC: The Queen streetcar stop is Claremont; the King stop is Niagara. Walnut jogs a little south of Queen (see map above.) With the King Street Pilot Project, the King Streetcar is often the fastest route from the Line 1 subway, but check for disruptions.

By bike: streetsigns or our metal gate are fine for parking. There is a Bixi Bike dropoff at Niagara and Richmond.

When You Get There

The venue is general seating for about 50 people. Audiences are sheltered under a canopy.

Majlis Multidisciplinary Arts events: Gates open half an hour before performances. Shows normally start within ten minutes of the posted time, latecomers may quietly seat themselves.

Other events: (such as the Toronto Fringe) other rules and protocols may apply.
